Gary Mills , Project
Manager
Project Manager Gary Mills is from the Baltimore area. He moved to Charlottesville a few years ago and joined Abrahamse and Company in 2003. Prior to working for Abrahamse and Company, he had ten years of civil engineering experience in the Roanoke and Baltimore areas. He was construction superintendent for a 300-unit townhouse project and project manager for another 288-unit apartment project, a BMW new car dealership, construction of a 94.000 sq.ft. one-story office building and many other projects. Gary’s been in business for himself as well. In Baltimore he also did cabinetwork. He has an Associate Degree in Architectural Design from the Maryland Institute, two years of engineering courses under his belt, as well as many other courses un project management, historical restoration, and real estate.

Since joining Abrahamse and Company, he’s enjoyed working on the Welter’s home in Madison County, a large custom home. “I like working for this company,”

he says. “I’ve worked for many other companies in this area, and this one is a lot more organized and professional.”

After work, Gary loves to read. Lately, he reads about 100 books a year; some mystery and some non-fiction. He’s been an antique buff since he was a child, having gone to antique shows with his parents. Gary still likes attending auctions and collecting antiques.
