Supervisor Kevin Kinnahan remarks, “I often take the job home with me, but for me, that’s not a bad thing. The project that I’ve worked on at Abrahamse and Company are unique and challenging; I love thinking and talking about them!” Kevin, who’s been with the company since ’94, supervised the building of L’Avventura Restaurant on Market Street in Charlottesville. L’Avventura was an addition (from the ground up) onto the Vinegar Hill Theater, constructed so seamlessly that it appears to have always been there.
He worked so closely with the clients and architect that they felt like family to him. (He highly recommends the restaurant’s grilled pizza!). Another fascinating project was a house in Greenwood, designed by the New York Architectural firm, Voorsanger and Associates. The house is 100 feet long, with an alluvial roof that fans out from the central supporting wall. 85% of the exterior walls are made of glass. “The house is a work of art,” he says. “Working on this project has kept me challenged and intrigued”.

As usual for Kevin, he’s developed a close relationship with the clients. "This is going to be the Brody’s home. I try to imagine what it would be like for them to live there. I want to do the best job I can do to make it a great place for them.”
