Jesse Joyner, Supervisor
Jesse joined Abrahamse and Company Builders, Inc. in July 2005, after working 17 years with Brown, Root, and Kellogg on ongoing plant facilities construction contracts with Dupont in Waynesboro. He was heavily recruited by his son, Jesse, III. The Joyner family is way into construction; Jesse’s wife, Donna, is employed by McDonough Architects, a firm on the cutting edge of sustainable building design. They have 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Jesse brings a wealth of commercial as well as residential construction experience to our company. He is calm, thorough, and professional in conducting his duties as a supervisor. Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, Phase III, the first project Jesse has supervised for our company has been a great success for the client, architect, and Abrahamse and Company, in large part due to Jesse’s hard work.. His even temperament and great disposition bring out the best in our crews as well as subs.
Jesse’s extracurricular interests include golf and traveling with the family, as well as working with his church youth group. He and Jesse III volunteered to work a week with Building Goodness in Mississippi. Jesse recently contributed his labor for the interior finish of his church’s (Bethel Baptist) interior finish. Jesse is an ACC sports fan. He likes Virginia Tech and NC State (where his son and daughter attend) and UVA except when they are playing the former two.

Jesse’s advice: “Invest for your future.”
